IT WAS A WEEK OF RACE
IN THE RACE
(8-3-08) All
week long, John McCain's campaign had been race-baiting
Barack Obama from a stealth ad that insinuated Obama was
sexually involved with two white female pop icons to
other charges of saying we are not racist while pointing
out that Obama is black. Obama had some answers for them
and then McCain charged Obama was the racist. Friday
night the proof came that McCain's camp is indeed doing
racist things. They threw out a fully credentialed
newspaper reporter from a campaign event while allowing
white reporters to stay.
|
Tallahassee Democrat senior writer Stephen
Price on Friday was singled out and asked to leave
a media
area at the
Panama
City rally of presidential candidate Sen. John
McCain. Price was among
at least three other reporters, and the only black
reporter, surrounding McCain's campaign bus when a
member of the
Arizona
senator's security detail asked the reporter to
identify himself. Price had shown his media credentials
to enter the area. Price showed his employee
identification as well as his credentials for the Friday
event. "I explained I was with the state press, but the
Secret
Service man said that didn't matter and that I
would have to go," Price said. When another reporter
asked why Price was being removed, she too was led out
of the area. Other state reporters remained. |
ANOTHER
SUICIDE - 3 This Week
(8-1-08) It's the third suicide this
week, a deadly week for neo-con warriors and
those who investigate them. This time the
suicide was a respected scientist who has long
been suspected as being part of the 2001 Anthrax
attack that killed five.
The biodefense researcher was involved in
vaccine research for the United State
Government. He was hospitalized Friday in
Frederick, MD, from an apparent
overdose, The apparent suicide came as the
Justice Department was considering
charging him in connection with the "death by
Anthrax murders."
Bruce E. Ivins, 62, who for the past 18 years
worked at the government's elite biodefense
research laboratories at
Fort Detrick, Md., had been informed of
the impending prosecution, people familiar with
Ivins, his suspicious death and with the
FBI investigation said. Regarded as a skilled
microbiologist, Ivins also had helped the
FBI analyze the powdery material
recovered from one of the anthrax-tainted
envelopes sent to a U.S. senator's office in
Washington, D.C. Some say it was to persuade him
to vote for the
Patriot Act which he did.
The death was announced to Ivins' colleagues at
the
U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of
Infectious Diseases, or USAMRIID, through
a staffwide e-mail.

USG FIGURES DEAD FROM GUN SHOT WOUNDS
(2:00 a.m. 7-30-08) An aid to Senator Jim Webb,
D. Va. and an Air Force General involved in the
nuclear bomb snafu that involved armed nukes
being flown to Barksdale, AFB from South Dakota
were both found dead and both from gun shot
wounds.
The body of Frederick W. Hutchins, Jr. was found
in his car by the Sheriff's Department on US
Highway 220 because the car was parked along
side the busy highway in Virginia. A gun was
found beneath the body.
Late Monday the Air Force announced that
Brigadier General Thomas L. Tinsley, the
commander of Elmendorf Air Force Base in
Alaska was found dead. The Air Force
spokesperson speculated it was a self
inflicted gunshot wound. The dead
General had just finished a tour of duty
as an aide to former Air Force Chief of
Staff, Gen. T. Michael "Buzz" Mosely , who
in June resigned under pressure from
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates because of
the lack of nuclear weapons accountability
highlighted by the B-52 flight across
country with armed nuclear weapons.
Bush Business has turned deadly.

ROVE
CHALLENGE TO CONGRESS MET
WITH CONTEMPT CHARGE
(7-30-08)
A House panel Wednesday voted to cite former top
White House aide Karl Rove for contempt of
Congress as its Senate counterpart publicly
pursued possible punishments for an array of
alleged past and present Bush administration
misdeeds. Voting along party lines, the House
Judiciary Committee said that Rove had broke the
law by failing to appear at a July 10 hearing on
allegations of White House influence over the
Justice Department, including whether Rove
encouraged prosecutions against Democrats.
On a party-line vote of 20-14, the
Democratic-led House of Representatives
Judiciary Committee approved a contempt citation
against President George W. Bush's former deputy
chief of staff and political adviser and sent it
to the full House of Representatives for needed
concurrence.
